Josh.ai and Kaleidescape have announced a strategic partnership to “transform” home cinema. The platform will be deep-linked with Kaleidescape to enable voice control to launch titles saved on a user’s library. Josh.ai is also capable of adjusting theater room lights, drapes and screen extensions.
Kaleidescape says it is the only digital provider of movies with lossless audio and full reference video. The Josh.ai app’s remote interface allows navigating of Kaleidescape menus and enables the creation of profiles like ‘Movie Night’ to set the mood. Once Josh.ai is deployed, each Kaleidescape device is detected on the network along with downloaded content. Josh.ai can also control Kaleidescape players when they are routed through Crestron and Control4 video distribution. Josh.ai stresses that it is a “privacy-focused” voice assistant specifically for home cinemas. The company does not share or sell user data for marketing purposes.
