Title: Tarot (2024)

Tagline: Your fate is in the cards.

Genre: Horror, Thriller

Director: Spenser Cohen, Anna Halberg

Cast: Harriet Slater, Adain Bradley, Avantika Vandanapu, Jacob Batalon, Alana Boden, Humberly Gonzalez, Wolfgang Novogratz, Larsen Thompson, Olwen Fouéré, Saša Nikolić, Sunčica Milanović, Alan Wells, Joss Carter, James Swanton

Release: 2024-05-01

Runtime: 92

Plot: When a group of friends recklessly violates the sacred rule of Tarot readings they unknowingly unleash an unspeakable evil trapped within the cursed cards. One by one, they come face to face with fate and end up in a race against death.

Mostly no-name cast (to me), but does have Jacob Batalon, a.k.a. Reginald the Vampire and Peter Parker's friend, Ned.

May not be able to catch it in theaters, but looks like a potentially good one to catch at home during spooky season later on in the year.

I knew when the group with the drinks and popcorn walked up, there was going to be a mess. Felt sorry for the guy given the price of popcorn, but the theater probably replaced it.

It was hilarious watching the teenage boys. Some fell down, some ran full speed down the hall leaving their friends to their fate.

Looks like they took that movie about the hand that the kids would grab hold of and substituted cards for the hand.

The prank video was fun.

Seems kind of like a mash-up of ideas from other horror films, though supposedly this is based on a 1992 novel, Horrorscope, by British writer, John Peel (as Nicholas Adams). Bits and pieces reminded me of Final Destination, Ouija, and Candyman.
