The Mummy 1999 in 4K was great till Chapter 11. It just stopped, picture froze. Nothing we could do to get passed that point, even restarting the player. Took back to the store and they replaced it. Well was great till chapter 11 where it froze again. different picture but same issues. We have the new sony deck. They tried it in the store in a samsung deck and it didn't even get started, spat the disk out and and gave a incompatibility error

Sony's are known to have lockup issues, regardless of model.

As for the Samsung player at the store, are you certain it was a 4K UHD model? If it was, keep in mind that retailers like Best Buy do not keep the firmware up to date on their demo units.

I've played that disc in both my Oppo UDP-203 and Panasonic DMP-UB900. Zero problems.
