My three doubts about Cavill being Bond:
He's too old if they would want him to make 2/3 films (especially if it is more of an origin story).
His last couple of films haven't done well, calling into question whether he can open big budget films.
He doesn't seem to have any onscreen chemistry with female co-stars.

I think the next Bond will likely be an Indian/Desi--British actor --- possibly Riz Ahmed (Road to Guantanamo, The Sound of Metal). Not that I recall 007 as ever being described in the books as looking or being South Asian at all, ofcourse, but if the producers' intentions are to take things in a 'new direction', so to spk, this would make sense.
I say Ahmed as he is well-known (no, not quite a household name but neither were most of the previous Bonds when they first took on the role) on *both sides of the Atlantic, and is also just the right age (41).
