Hello All,

For the past 4 years i have been using the TX-NR609. I just upgrade to TX-NR609. All speakers calibration are at 12 but volume is terribly so low.

With the 609, with the intellivolume at +12dB, my volume was always 20 - 25
With the 740 with (my input volume ?), i need to go till 45 to listen some decent, please help me out.

i have attached some screenshots so you could guide me in a better setup.

many thanks and stay safe.

It's fine. My systems have to be in the 70+ range for normal playback. Can you play it loud enough? Is there more volume past loud enough, into far too loud? Then you're fine. One thing though, there's virtually no way that having all the speakers at the same level (12) is correct. The point is to balance them within the room, which means there's almost zero possibility of them all being at the same level.

It goes up to 100. That means you have 55dB left, which is an enormous amount. I doubt you ever go much above 50. An increase of 10dB is ten times as loud. 20 dB is 100 times as loud.
