For some reason I think that the Banshees of Inisherin isn't much of a musical or a comedy. It was more of a Drama/Tragedy than anything.

It’s like The Martian won for best comedy!

If Ke Huy Quan wins this and the Oscar, it’ll be one of the great returns to acting in history!

Watch as Fablemans wins best drama, gets hit by THE CURSE(tm), and some random movie in Pig Latin about a Donkey wins best picture at next year's Oscars.

...I'm not kidding, EO probably wins it if its nominated.

The Martian was at least actually funny and not depressing.
Agreed. I found The Martian to have plenty of humour - but I wouldn’t classify it as a comedy. (Even Matt Damon found it odd when he won Best Actor GG that year.)

Same with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (as an example). I found it to be funnier than many comedies, but I don’t know that I’d classify it as such.

(Speaks broadly to the issue of splitting films into categories like drama and comedy.)

NBC has NFL football on Sunday night, and they probably wanted to avoid competing with the college football championship on Monday.

Carmichael seems like he’s trying to be serious about a few things and people are laughing hysterically.

Ke Huy Quan has to be almost a certainty to win Best Supporting at the Oscars.

Not only was his performance excellent, but the awesome story of how he was a child star who left the industry due to lack of opportunities, followed by his return 30+ years later and receiving all the accolades, is a bonus!

Not to mention his acceptance speech will be full of passion and graciousness!
