I find The White Stripes to be an acquired taste, but have come around to appreciating the song craft if not the sound quality. Blunderbuss turns that on its head. There are some pretty diverse musical styles on here, most of which I am really digging. Playing on my office system (NAD, NHT) I was thinking that the sound was way above average. Well, for those that listen with their eyes, the waveforms look NOTHING like most contemporary rock recordings.
Why couldn't Van Halen have recorded their new record with sound quality like this???? :-(
Anyway, some real musical and sonic goodness here,
