I searched but found no mention of this, and thought perhaps it was worth its own thread, considering its greatness 
. So, finally it is out on CD, a very nice 2CD, and although this is not actually Howard Shore himself conducting, it nevertheless sounds great, as everyone knows who has been to any of these performances.
It has hardly left my player since I got it
