From now through December 24, 2016 Panasonic's DMP-UB900 4K BD player has a $100 Instant Rebate so it's now on sale for $599 delivered.

I decided to stick with this model and send the Oppo back.

I really prefer SDR BT2020 with my EF9500 due to near black tone mapping issues in HDR mode. The 900 offers a gorgeous image in HDR 2020, SDR 2020 and 1080p blu-ray, and coupled with the HDFury Integral it works great for me to remove HDR. I'm sure Oppo will fix their quirks in the next month or two, but the Panny works well, has Amazon and Netflix, and has a very accurate image (I'm sure PHL and the THX 4k Cert are to be thanked for this).

Really nice player, especially with the sale price. Be curious to see if the 900/700 stay for another year or Panny brings a new model. Really no reason at this point unless it was Dolby Vision, because the 900 is a reference 1080p and 2160p player.
