I just watched the network pilot for the new PSN show Powers. It stars Sharlto Copley, Eddie Izzard, Adam Godley, Noah Taylor and Susan Heyward.


Here's a plot summary of it from imdb: "Set in a world where humans and super heroes co-exist, a homicide detective, who had his own powers taken from him, investigates crimes involving superhumans along with his partner."


The episode started out kind of weak but finished pretty decently. The budget for effects looks to be a bit on the small side but I don't feel it really took away from anything. I think I'm going to stick with this one for a few more to see if the cast starts gelling better.

The comic series is quite entertaining, and I plan on checking out the show.

That's just what they call the superheros. And those that want to have powers are called "wannabe's".

I'll say this though, it is definitely not a kids show. I'd say it's probably a rated R show due to the violence, gore and

language.
