I gave my dog Ozzy that same snowman/reindeer dog plush toy when he was young. He was born on Christmas day in 2002. He roughed his toy up a bit over the years, and after he passed on earlier this year I left it out on an end table all year. I replaced the batteries on all of my battery-powered Christmas items a few weeks ago, but Ozzy's toy wasn't revived by the 6 fresh AA batteries I put in it. Nothing. Oh, well. I left the batteries in there anyhow, and when I was showing a friend my Christmas decorations two days ago, I picked it up and said "It's too bad this doesn't work any more" while pressing the snowman's hand, and miraculously it worked! "Jingle Bells" pauses a bit while the snowman is singing, but I see that as Ozzy letting me know who got it going again. Merry Christmas, everybody!
