Hi,

I have a small room (10 * 12 * 10) [1200 cubic feet], and a 15 inch subwoofer (SPL-150)

Sometimes I feel that subwoofer is overpowered for the room, but returning it is not an option. What can I do, to get the best out of it? The rest speakers are Klipsch RP-600M

I am using Onkyo receiver. Also, with this setup, shall I switch on AccuEq or not?

Thanks in advance

In any surround system, all the speakers, including the subwoofer, have to be calibrated. The sub is a little more confusing, since it has two volume controls. One in the receiver and one on the sub itself. So, it's not an issue of the sub being too strong, but not being calibrated correctly. There's actually a lot to calibrating a sub, but if it seems too strong, the simplest solution is to go into the speaker levels in the receiver and lower the level of the sub 1-2 dB at a time until it seems right.

Did you run auto calibration?
