Have you tried calling your theater and asking for it? It couldn't hurt to let them know you want it. I'm not suggesting that they would book it only for you, but you're probably not the only one locally who would like to see it.

I'm not doing that as I can wait for home video release either on disc or digitally.

Personally, I would not hesitate to let a theater know I wanted something if it wasn't there. If it doesn't help get this film, it might help them become more aware of a desire for future specialty releases like this. But, whatever floats your boat. Unfortunately, the movie is shedding screens tomorrow and will be down -277 to 765 theaters, so it does appear that it has already gone as wide as it's going to go.
