BIG WEEK RoundUppers!

Certainly, lots of quantity and a fair amount of quality, too!

But, for me, just a pre-order of The Good Fight: Season 3. And at the price of $14.99, I decided to pull the trigger on Modern Family: S10. I checked my shelves and realized I had never gotten MF: S9 so I got that, too, at a price of $12.xx.

I'll probably get My Favorite Year down the road.

Hope you find something to your liking!

And thanks for the support (and "likes") each and every week!

As always, thank you, Mike!

But I'm taking a breather this week. After buying an expensive Blu-ray steelbook last week, plus an actual book and an audiobook all on the same day, I've spent enough for a while.

Wild Rose is an excellent movie which I wish was getting a Blu-ray release. I might get the DVD sooner or later -- the price is certainly right -- but I had an expensive enough week last week that I shouldn't right now. I would recommend Wild Rose as at least a rental to anyone who missed it in theaters, though, and judging by its gross, that would include most people.

Thanks for the RoundUp!

My Favorite Year is a definite for me. A couple of others I'll also acquire in the future.

I had put in to CBS to review the final season of Elementary, but they sent me The Good Fight instead. I sent it back and asked for the correct review material, but who knows if I'll get it or when.

I was surprised and excited to see a 4k release of Galaxy Quest listed.

Are you sure that is correct? Bestbuy.com and all press releases I can find show that the 20th anniversary exclusive steelbook is 1080, and just a repackaging of the existing blu ray.

It's a Blu-ray release as indicated by this press release that Ron posted.

I am really sorry, guys, about that slip up. It was listed as a 4k release on my "new release' source and I never noticed when compiling the prices that it was Blu-only at BB. I'll be removing it from the 4k grid.

I HATE when that shit happens.

Maintaining these lists are a lot of work and mistakes happen when doing so, especially with constant release dates changing, retailers posting misinformation and etc.

No worries, I really appreciate the work you do every week.

Instead of Galaxy Quest Ill probably purchase a 4k version of The Dead Dont Die off Vudu since I havent heard of a 4k disc coming out for that title.

We'll dock your pay this week, Mike. ;)

Thanks again for the prices! I will "rent" Dark Phoenix using some of my digital credits on Amazon to see if it's something I want to buy eventually - - probably a streaming version, as I don't really feel the need to own it on disc.

I already own the Twilight Time versions of Support Your Local Sheriff / Gunfighter, so don't feel the need to buy the Kino versions - - but I do really enjoy those films.

Just a few for me this week, the TT sale really took a big bite in my wallet for awhile.
  • Biloxi Blues
  • Noir Archive Volume 3
  • Popeye the Sailor: Volume 3 (showed up today from Best Buy, and at a much better price than Amazon)

100" agreement with you, Scott. I'm the same way. I purchased the original MGM DVDs, the upgraded Kino DVDs, then the Blu-ray from TT. I think I'll hold off at this stage.

I think Dark Phoenix is probably a Black Friday purchase. Will get Polyester at some point.

Condolences to Matt H (post 4 above) on his trials with CBS.

Elementary - Final Season
came home today, despite Amazon shipping in "one to three months," Best Buy and Target "not in stores."

Barnes and Noble came through at 30% off list, and it was physically in the store for purchase.

Both the original DVD and the WB-distributed Paramount blu of Galaxy Quest are here. DVD stays for one feature that was not carried to the blu:

The Omega 13!

Thank you, Dave. CBS did come through, and I'm working through the final season box set now. I am hoping the review will go up Thursday. Still have one more Ealing comedy to tackle, my favorite one and also, I think, the best.
