Is The Onkyo TX-NR656 A Good Receiver ? (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking of getting a 7.2ch av receiver to setup my new home theater system and was wondering if the TX-NR656 is a good and reliable model. Has Onkyo finally fixed their dreaded HDMI board and other hardware problems? I live in Fiji and the only store that sells av receivers are of Onkyo brand. I heard that the TX-NR656 is an awesome receiver so I was interested in getting it. If anyone has owned Onkyo receivers then please let me know if I should get it or not. I would also like to point out that there are no Onkyo repair centers in Fiji and the store that sells them only gives one year warranty. Plus the TX-NR656 is around $2000 here unlike in America where it's cheap. I was initially planning to get the older model which is the TX-NR1030 9.2ch av receiver but it's still $5000 and the price hasn't gone down.
