Well, to bring some light to the situation:
Colin and I decided to move forward with a redesign of the frontend part of the site back in January. There were a few different factors that played into that decision, but probably the biggest one came from our trip to CES. After talking with a lot of manufacturers and reps, there was near universal hesitation to work with HTF due to its dated appearance. And without relationships with manufacturers and other companies, there is no feasible way to keep HTF afloat, let alone see it flourish.
I understand the transition might be challenging. And due to some behind the scenes technical reasons, the process has been far from smooth. The redesign was not a step we took lightly, but a necessary decision to keep HTF running.
And although I may not be able to act on it quickly, and have many different considerations in play, I really do appreciate any and all feedback. I appreciate the honesty in this thread. And I very much intend to continue working to help HTF survive and thrive for decades to come as a place that our members are proud to call home.
