I've just watched this on Amazon Prime and after I found out that the parts with the two black gentlemen speaking jive have subtitles. However, on Amazon Prime, they don't show the subtitles. Was this removed from the Blu Ray/DVD? is it on other versions?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen the movie without them. They add to the humor.

They do. That’s why it’s weird. They also have subtitles for English on screen words. For example, when the titles of magazines appear on screen, small text repeats those titles.
