You guys don't know the half of it. Just devastating news for us.

We'll see what happens in the future, I guess. But I really wish I had this problem of how to mount my TV near the fireplace.

So sorry. I hear the real estate market is crazy nuts right now, for sales and rentals. Not sure if that's the cause, but it likely didn't help.

There was a news story about a landlord in Burlington who listed an apartment for rent and was flooded with requests, and many that were offering to pay substantially higher rent than he was even asking just to be considered. He admitted he accepted an offer from someone offering to pay $175/month more than he even wanted.

I would think that pull down mount would have gotten old really fast, unless it was motorized.

Too bad your house purchase fell through.Real estate has been crazy all over. I'm in a city that sees very little population growth and yet the real estate prices have gone wacky. Residential and apartment construction had gone nuts. I can't figure where all the people to fill housing here are supposedly coming from, considering there is little in the way of new industry coming in the area where I live. The run on real estate defies all.rationality.

We're having a house built and specifically had a window removed from one wall (from the standard plans) so that I could put a TV somewhere other than over the fireplace. If I couldn't do that I'd have resorted to a pull-down mount, and I really didn't want to have to do that.
