Hey,

Just moved in to a new house and am struggling to decide where to attach my rear speakers (Gale 3060B)

Can anyone tell me where the best place to stick the rear surrounds is in this 5.1 setup? Should they face each other, or face the TV? If the rear left isn't placed on the wall with the door, how far along the back wall should it go, bearing in mind the sweet spot?

Thanks!

Those speakers are specifically designed for a shoebox (rectangular) room, where the seating is middle-of-the floor, several feet from the side and back walls. They are designed to deliver a wide ambient effect by bouncing sound off the opposing side and back walls. As such they aren’t going to work well in your situation.

Any set-up where the room is open on one side and the seating is against the back wall gives rear-speaker placement issues. Your best bet is ceiling speakers mounted overhead.
