As an example, Universal Television used to set the late Sixties and Early Seventies shows with Folio (Folio Bold Extented and Folio Light Italic):

The Name of the Game
Columbo
McMillan & Wife
McCloud
Banacek
The Rockford Files

Folio displayed in yellow with a shade: the standard dressing at Universal TV.

And now, let's tackle the case of QM's Dan August.

The logo combines two typefaces: the red Compacta (black, condensed) and the white Microgramma/Eurostile.
I'm not completely sure about the Compacta reference.
The title credits are set in Microgramma/Eurostile.

BATMAN (1966-68) used "Ad Lib" font in the show's episode titles.

Examples, from third-season episode "The Wail of the Siren" w/the great Joan Collins (OAD Thursday, Sept. 28, 1967 on ABC; from Warner Bros. 60s Batman all-in-one DVD):

Apart from the hand-made logo for The Time Tunnel, the title credits are set in Venus (bold extended).
There's even another sans serif typeface (oblique, condensed, shaded) for the Next Week card seen after the final preview.

Apart from the hand-made logo for Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea,
the title credits are set in Lydian for season 1 and Alternate Gothic for season 2.

Season 1 with Lydian in white with a shadow.
