Maybe paying for the rights precluded adding this to the bonus features? Lorne Greene sings his top 40 hit Ringo on The Alan Sherman Show, 1965...

That could indeed be the reason-- they can't get everything the stars did, whether within the series or outside of it.

They are actually redoing Season 2 and releasing it separately?? Now if they can only do that for Rawhide Seasons 1&4 and Have Gun- Will Travel Seasons 1-3!! I'm guessing, though, those shows aren't as popular as Bonanza..
Only way I see it for rawhide is if ( God forbid) Clint passes away. Supposedly it will have a bluray release ( 1 season) this year. As for bonanza maybe we will get a bluray release later down the line for a cheaper price.

I'd also like to have the Back to Bonanza retrospective from 1993. That probably belongs to another company. It's only been released in PAL format. The three reunions and The Ponderosa series would also be nice

Although I don't like 'Bonanza' near as much s Gunsmoke, I'll be getting this day one. I already have the first three seasons, and season 7 oddly enough. It will be a hard pill to swallow to give up those awesome episode trivia, air date, and filming locations though. They were the coolest bit of text I have ever seen on season sets.

Are you saying then that the individual cases will simply list the episode titles, and nothing else?

Pretty sure the complete series set will have no information except gray discs with episode titles. While the previous releases went all out on the inlay

Yeah the discs will have the same content as the previous releases. I'm sure it won't have inlay trivia and episode specifics.

That's good to hear (that the all-in-one will have the same bonuses as the volume releases [albeit only the episode names will be listed]).

BTW, that "Denver McKee" outing had great game show host Bob Barker (him of Truth or Consequences and TPIR fame [I believe he's known more for TPIR]) playing a bit part; he was Mort, who competed with Little Joe (Michael Landon) for the affections of a young woman named Connie, as I understand it.

Here's the episode:

One reason why I may not get the entire set, although I hate to pay extra to buy Seasons 9-14 separately. I have 1-8. Not sure at this point what I will do.

Why dvd when there in HD ? A nice bluray set would of paid $200 but for dvd and how much room this will take up on my shelf . I'll have to wait for now .
