Does it give you Dolby Vision as an option?
If you are referring to Fandango at Home (formerly Vudu), then no. Only their stand alone version of the SE has Atmos. The only place to stream the SE in DV and DA is Apple TV without having to purchase the SE as a stand alone.

The person before my question is who I’m asking.

He said Vudu with hdr but not the specific hdr

I figured it wouldn’t have DV But thought I’d ask anyway.

I still haven’t redeemed my Abyss code yet.
My player doesn’t do DV and lately doesn’t play Atmos either and some discs dont work at all.

I need a new player but it’s not in the budget right now.
So I’m not going to watch Abyss until I know the digital will play DA/DV

If you want to stream The Abyss: Special Edition in 4K Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, then you will need to connect your Apple TV account to Movies Anywhere and watch it on the Apple TV app. Apple TV has placed the SE as the main feature, so as long as your streaming device, A/V receiver, and TV support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, then it should play without issue.

Fandango at Home (aka Vudu) offers The Abyss: Special Edition under the special features, but only in 4K Dolby Vision and Dolby 5.1.

Looking forward to picking this one up...FINALLY! No longer do we have to watch the non-anamorphic DVD. UGH.

Amazon has updated my delivery estimate for The Abyss to between April 8 - May 1. That really narrows it down, huh?

It's now streaming on Paramount+ (theatrical version). Is there a way to tell if it's the new master?

Answered my own question by watching it tonight on Paramount +. The credits at the end reference the new 4K master from Park Road. I can only watch in 1080 on my projector and thought it looked good, but I haven’t seen the film in any form for over 20 years so have nothing to compare it to. It did look like a film that was shot digitally as I didn't notice much, if any, film grain.
